Creative Mentoring
Find clarity, confidence and freedom in your creative practice.
Drawing on over 25 years experience as an artist and educator, I offer personalised and flexible mentoring to help you make art freely, connect more deeply with your creativity and build a practice that works around your life.
Whether you are just beginning or have an established practice, there are times when we lose confidence or don't know what to do next.
Mentoring offers dedicated time to reflect, explore and move forwards.

These can be one off or ongoing. Frequency will depend on what you want to achieve.

After the call, I will send you follow up notes summarising key action points.
Payment will be by bank transfer or a payment link and 24 hour cancellation policy applies.
What the mentoring sessions aren’t:
a quick fix that will give you all the answers.
art therapy
Creative work review
1:1 review £95 1hr15 (online or in person)
This is a dedicated session to get feedback and guidance on a collection of work. The work doesn't need to be finished - it can experiments, ideas in a sketchbook or progress pieces.
Together, we will discuss what is emerging and help clarify where the work could develop next.
Before the call I will ask you to send me photos of the work that you want to discuss and answer a few questions to explain your ideas.
After the call - I will send you follow up notes with suggestions for development.
Payment will be by bank transfer or a payment link and 24 hour cancellation policy applies.
Supported Places
I offer two supported mentoring places at £30 per hour. One in the UK and one internationally to people on lower incomes or in different local economies.

What mentoring with me is like
Mentoring is a collaboration.
So instead of me to giving you all the answers or telling you what to make, we’ll create a space where we explore your practice together.
I’ll help you to slow down and spot patterns, offer practical ideas, and ask questions that will help you to become more confident in your own creative decisions.
“I came to Clare’s classes without much confidence in my abilities. Clare’s approach is supportive at every stage and I now feel confident to ask for help and experiment more. I’m learning to enjoy the process as much as the end result.”
Claire, Somerset

My experience
For over 25 years, as an artist and teacher, I’ve been supporting people through different stages of their creative journey. I understand the challenges, fears and frustrations that accompany trying to build a creative practice. I’ve experienced my own creative blocks and recognise how easy it is to lose confidence and feel uncertain in your creative direction.
My MA in Education has given me a deeper insight into how an artist identity develops and how making art can help us to navigate change. This research, along with my own creative experiences and supporting others through teaching, shape the way I mentor today
